We can't believe that we've already been married for 3 years! It's like we've graduated past teh newly wed or newly marrieds.
It was a good day for both of us, as home and at school. And that night we dropped the kids off at our babysitters (a YW from church) and headed off to BD's Mongolian Barbeque! It was SO good! It was my first time.
Basically it's kind of like self-serve stir fry. They have appetizers, a salad bar, and desserts, but you pick out your own stir fry ingredients. They have ALL kinds of meat and seafood, veggies and anything you could imagine, or couldn't to put in your dish. They have tons of sauces and spices too. Up on the wall they have 'dish helpers' for what kind of taste you are going for. IE: spicy, oriental, mongolian, etc...There is a huge round grill, and you just bring your bowl of goods up and they slap it on the grill and cook it right in front of you. And MAN was it delicious. It was also a ton of fun to watch the guys work the grill. They sang and tossed tongs and it was just a fun atmosphere!
One of the grill guys started flirting with me and I was just thinking, 'You do see my handsome husband standing right next to me right? Like you'd even have a chance!' But truth be told, since I'm nearing 30, and I'm pretty sure he was in his early 20's, I was a little flattered. Still got it! :)
I didn't get a ton of pictures, but I got some.We both ended up making the sauce for the Mongolian kind, since we were trying out a Mongolian restaurant. Who wants to just do something borring like barbeque, soy or sweet and sour sauce. Well it was fantastic. It had their special sauce, plus a black bean sauce, seasoned salt and some garlic all mixed together.
We also got potstickers as an appetizer. They were yummy too! In my dish I had NY strip steak, another kind of beef that I can't remember the name to now (but it was delicious), onions, green peppers, water chestnuts, baby corns, pineapple, mmm...I think that was it.
Jason's dish doesn't look as pretty, but it was still very good too. He had the various kinds of beef, plus sausage, shrimp, onions, mushrooms, baby corns I think, pineapple and I don't know what else.
Another fun thing there were the staff shirts. We didn't see any two alike. The backs of the shirts had different sayings on them. These are the ones I remember:
The flirt: Grillaz in the Midst!
Waiter: See Yah At the Grill
Others: We Do it On the Grill
Wolverines Taste Like Chicken (sports rivalry)
Go Mongo!
Mongolian is my BFF
So if there's one in your area, go for it. It was a little pricey, but worth it!

At Home Hair Treatments
This was the first one we did. Yes, Jason was a huge sport and tried one with me. He did the one for itchy scalp. Head and Shoulders doesn't even help his dandruff problem.
Itchy scalp:
2 T lemon juice, 2 T olive oil, 2 T water-mix together, massage into scalp and let set for 20 minutes. Rinse out and wash hair. (Can use every 2 weeks)
And it worked!
I used the one that's supposed to add shine to your hair.
For dull hair:
½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt. Massage into hair and scalp. Let sit for 20 minutes, and then rinse with warm, then cool water. Then wash. (Can use every 2 weeks)You really need to wash it 2x though.
The first day that I did it, my hair looked like the hair of a super model! But it didn't last 2 weeks. It lasted for a few days. You can also do this with mayonnaise by the way.
Other ones that I'd like to try, or you can try are:
For dry hair:
*3ggs, 2T Olive oil, 1 t vinegar-mix together and rub into hair and scalp. Leave in for 30 min. Then wash out.
*Mayonnaise: Spread throughout hair. Secure with a plastic bag and hold in for 30 min. Then wash out.
For burnt hair from sun or irons:
½ cup of honey. Massage into clean damp hair and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. (Can use once a month) You can add 1-2 T olive oil to make it spread easier. I did something like this on my mission and my hair was lovely afterwards for weeks.
For frizzy hair:
Mash up half an avocado and massage into clean, damp hair. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing with water. You can also add 1 to 2 Tbsp of sour cream, egg yolks or mayonnaise. You can do it every two weeks.
For Limp or Fine Hair
Mix 1/2 cup flat beer (pour beer into a container and let it sit out for a couple of hours to deplete carbonation) with 1 tsp canola oil and an egg. Apply to clean, damp hair and let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water. You can also do this every other week.
For oily or greasy hair:
Pour 1 Tbsp cornmeal or cornstarch into an empty salt or pepper shaker and sprinkle onto dry hair and scalp. After 10 minutes, use a hairbrush to completely brush it out. Treatment can be applied every other day.

Prayer Works!
I posted this on FB, but thought that I would tell the little story on here.
Early this morning Jason was frantically looking for his wallet. He had to leave in 15 minutes to take the car to the shop (warranty is almost up and it's having trouble accelerating). He couldn't, or shouldn't leave without his licence, ID, money, etc...so we needed to find it. Why he didn't look for it last night when he already knew it was missing, I don't know? Since he hadn't said anything about it, I figured he had already found it, until this morning when I was woken up by all his racket!
So, I got out of bed to help him. First thing I did was said a prayer that went something like this:
"Good morning Heavenly Father. (yawn) I know that you have a lot to do, but Jason has to leave and can't find his wallet. Can you give either one of us an idea of where it is? ..." Then I finished the prayer and waited for an answer. The Holy Ghost told me to check the bed.
I went into our room and looked everywhere around it and thought to myself-'huh. I could've sworn I was directed to check the bed. Maybe I heard wrong?'
So we continued to look. We went through the whole thing of...
When was the last time you had it? J-Wednesday
Where's the last place you remember using it? J-Don't know A-You had to have taken it to the bank. Did you go into the bank? Could it have fallen on the floor? J-Didn't go into the bank. I went to the gas station afterwards though.
So he called the gas station to see if someone turned it in. No such luck.
J-I came in and did school work and such. (He has 3 places he puts it, and we had checked those, plus turned the rest of our home upside down at this point.)
A-No you didn't. You were horsing around with Henry after you guys got back from the bank.
J-(Epiphany) I know where it is. I took a nap after I played with Henry. (He was still trying to get over his sickness and slept in Henry's bed because Jane was asleep on ours and he didn't want to wake her up.) It's in Henry's bed.
And there it was. The spirit touched me again as we were walking up the stairs and I knew he was right. So I did hear right-to check the bed. I was just checking the wrong one. It didn't occur to me to check Henry's because, well, I had forgotten that Jason had taken a nap there, and besides that he was still asleep and we avoid going in there so as not to wake up Mr. Ogar. Maybe your kid is like that too when you wake him up before he's ready.
So, prayers works. Heavenly Father does know what's going on down here and is willing to help us. "If you can't find something on your feet, get on your knees." -Jessica Virgin (I might've botched the quote a little)
